Position Overview

The Online Sales Manager oversees digital sales strategies and leads a team to drive revenue. Responsibilities include managing online sales platforms, analyzing data to improve sales, coordinating marketing efforts, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. The role requires staying updated on e-commerce trends and competitor activity, improving customer satisfaction, and optimizing conversion rates. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and experience with digital sales tools are key. The position also require project initiation, follow through and close off using business resources like the Project team and IT. This specific role also require Yield and Pricing management in the B2C Sales Segment with specific focus on dynamic pricing strategies.

Specific Role Responsibilities Job Outputs:

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing online sales strategies to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce front end platforms, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, pricing, and IT, to ensure smooth e-commerce processes.
  • Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, sales, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implementing digital marketing initiatives, such as SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media, to drive traffic and sales.
  • Optimising the website for user experience, including navigation, search functionality, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Managing relationships with third-party vendors, including payment gateways, logistics partners, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Analysing sales performance and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Implementing A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.
  • Manage product listings, descriptions, and pricing.
  • Regularly update product information, images, and descriptions to ensure accuracy, appeal, and consistency.
  • Plan and execute seasonal and promotional campaigns to increase sales and boost customer engagement.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and trends to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor website functionality and handle troubleshooting issues with the e-commerce platform, including technical problems and user experience challenges.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to ensure seamless customer services, high customer satisfaction, and resolve issues quickly through the online channels.
  • Analyse data from Google Analytics, CRM systems, and other tools to monitor site traffic and customer behaviour.
  • Track and report e-commerce performance, including sales, conversion rates, and ROI on digital marketing campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and platforms.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce and digital marketing.
  • Initiate, follow through and close off new products and projects within the B2C Sales Team.
Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience as an e-commerce manager or in a similar e-commerce or digital marketing role.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, E-Commerce, IT, or a related field.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid unendorsed drivers license.
  • Computer literate: MS Office (Intermediate level of Excel skill is essential).
  • Strong understanding of online sales platforms and digital marketing strategies.
  • Expertise in digital marketing techniques, including SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
  • Proficient in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and e-commerce tracking tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with CRM software and MS Excel.
