Le Wagon is the World’s Leading Coding School offering Web Development and Data Science Bootcamps in a Full Time (9 weeks) and Part Time (24 weeks) format. Our mission is to equip candidates with the technical skills to future proof their careers and take up new professional challenges.

Job Summary

We are looking for a driven and hands-on Admissions Associate who will join the South African team to nurture and convert our top prospective students across all our campuses.

Working closely with the South African Campus Operations Manager, you will play a central role in attracting top talent students to join our boot camps. Your role will consist of managing all applications pipelines, from inbound inquiries to onboarding. At the same time, youll be implementing sales strategies to qualify talented prospective students across our local markets. So if you have a coding background or a love for IT coupled with a Sales edge you may be the person we are looking for.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Implement the regional sales strategy

  • Support the definition of the regional sales strategy, working closely with the Sales & Admissions global team.
  • Answer inbound applicants enquiries (emails, phone calls, WhatsApp, HubSpot calls, etc.);
  • Make outbound calls (emails, phone calls, WhatsApp, HubSpot calls, etc.);
  • Lead sales-related events including open evenings, info sessions, and webinars;
  • Work with regional leads to identify pipeline bottlenecks, key applicant blockers and conjointly define improvement plans and new sales tactics to implement.

2. Own the candidates pipeline

  • Manage admissions pipelines from end-to-end across our programs;
  • Interview candidates to assess their motivations, career projects and tech prerequisite skills to ensure our

Bootcamp will help them reach their goals and objectives;

  • Nurture candidates in the pipeline, ensuring frequent touch points and providing quick clarifications when requested, properly documenting all interactions;
  • Monitor preparation work before the Bootcamps begins, and align with the tech team on recommended resources, equipment, and adjustments, as needed;
  • Send relevant information and updates to all candidates and relevant third parties (e.g. funding partners) in the lead up to the Bootcamp start date;
  • Improve our admissions processes based on your observations, relevant data, and discussions with other Le Wagon campuses.

3. Oversee Student Experience

  • Keep a pulse on student engagement using intuition and proximity to student activities;
  • Ensure that student expectations are being exceeded by periodically checking in with each individual;
  • Assist with an accommodation plan for students who will be coming from outside of Cape Town;
  • Organise and manage various student events with the intention of using them to facilitate student friendships.
  • Set up partnerships with brands/restaurants to provide special deals for the students

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Degree in Marketing / Management (Honours preferred)
  • previous work experience (3+ years) in sales, tech recruitment or management customer service role.
