High-Level Overview

Client:
The client is a Kenya-based agritech business developing a digital platform that connects veterinarians with livestock farmers. The business is undergoing a comprehensive four-week assessment to refine its economic model, market strategy, and operational effectiveness.

Project:
The project requires one or two consultants to conduct field research and analyze the agritech business’s economic model. Their work will inform go-to-market strategies and operational improvements.
Role and Responsibilities
Role:
Field Research Consultant Business Model Analyst
Direct Report: TBD
Candidates Required: 1-2

Key Deliverables:
  • Conduct field visits to gather first-hand feedback from farmers and veterinarians using the platform.
  • Perform surveys and interviews to collect insights on platform usability and effectiveness.
  • Analyze the business’s economic model, including revenue generation and sustainability.
  • Develop data analytics capabilities to synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Propose go-to-market strategies to support business expansion.

Requirements
Experience Required:
  • Background in consulting, preferably from top-tier firms like McKinsey or Bain.
  • Expertise in field research, data analytics, and problem-solving.
  • Experience with economic modeling and pricing strategy development.
Technical Requirements:
  • Strong data analytics skills, including survey analysis and synthesis of findings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting interviews and fieldwork.
  • High level of independence and initiative.
Location | Kenya-based, with field visits to local farmers and veterinarians.
Operational requirements | Approximately 1.5 weeks of field research followed by 2-3 weeks of analysis.
Other: Full-time engagement for four weeks.
