We are seeking a dynamic human capital generalist to join our team for an exciting eight-month contract. This is your chance to step into a pivotal role, supporting our HR functions while gaining valuable experience in a vibrant work environment. In this role, you will assist with onboarding new employees, manage staff movements, oversee payroll administration, and contribute to employee wellness initiatives. Key responsibilities New engagements: Draft contracts, initiate onboarding processes, conduct inductions, and manage new starter documentation. Staff movements: Handle promotions, salary increases, and team changes; ensure proper record-keeping and SAGE updates. Resignations: Manage resignation letters, notify brokers, and process terminations. End of contracts: Confirm contract extensions or terminations and send updated contracts to staff. Payroll administration: Oversee probation periods and ensure accurate payroll information is captured. Medical aid updates: Track medical aid changes and communicate updates to staff. Maternity/parental leave: Prepare UIF documents and manage relevant payroll entries. Health and safety: Act as the health and safety officer, book training sessions, and handle IOD claims. HR reporting: Conduct exit interviews, submit reports, and prepare for monthly resource meetings. General duties: Assist with wellness days, lead HC graduates, and address SAGE system queries. Qualifications A degree in human resources management or a related field is preferred. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
