Meaningful Work From Day One

This role is to provide support and analytical insight to the local business team in the organization, working very closely with Marketing and Commercial functions. As finance business partner the incumbent will interact with the Sales, the Trade/Customer Marketing, and the Marketing teams as well as the other departments to actively drive business decisions. This person will work directly for the Finance Manager.

This role is 4 days a week out of our office in Cape Town and 1 at home.

What You Can Expect

Being business partner, you will:

• Provide financial base for operative decisions and strategic guidelines through profitability analysis on product and distributor level
• Actively participate in further improving price and conditions system and in the regular negotiation process to drive appropriate pricing
• Validate that channel and customer pricing and discounts are accurate. Analyse variances and explain their drivers.
• Actively participate in rolling forecast and budget planning
• Analytical support by preparing meaningful and actionable reporting
• Support preparation of presentations relating to Actuals, budget, and forecasts
• Supporting and improving internally used BI tools (esp. KAMS, Newton)
• Ad-hoc analysis, special projects and support in all other areas of the Finance Team
• Support preparation of presentations relating to Actuals, budget, and forecasts
• Represent finance department in special, cross-functional projects
• Support the business in daily basis Finance department activities

What You Bring to the Table

• Finance experience with a Multinational FMCG company at a similar level
• Fluency in English language in everyday work, clear and succint communication skills.
• Strong financial and analytical abilities
• Experience with software applications in accounting, budgeting, and valuation techniques(MS Office, SAP incl. Business Warehouse/BI)
• Proficient in Excel
• Being a self starter
