(T12) DEPARTMENT Public Empowerment & Development DIRECTORATE URBAN WASTE MANAGEMENT Professional Officer (Candidates who previously applied for UWM 71/24 need not re-apply) Requirements
  • Three-year tertiary qualification, preferably Bachelors Degree
or National Diploma in Public Administration/Management Education or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of work experience as preferably within
the EPWP environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in program coordination, stakeholder
engagement and project monitoring, particularly within public employment or skills development frameworks
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications and SAP systems.
  • A valid Code EB drivers license.
Key Performance Areas
  • Coordinate and monitor EPWP-supported skills programs to
ensure alignment with municipal and national workforce priorities.
  • Identify and address skills gaps through targeted research
and program adjustments.
  • Coordinate the registration and tracking of EPWP skills projects
for reporting purposes
  • Foster relationships with external funders, training institutions
and internal stakeholders to support skills development program design and implementation.
  • Facilitate funding coordination for skills projects and ensure
alignment with industry best practices.
  • Track and report on the outcomes of skills programs, ensuring
compliance with EPWP standards.
  • Monitor progress toward skills development objectives and
recommend program adjustments to enhance outcomes.
  • Perform quality assurance on data and reporting processes
to maintain program integrity.
  • Prepare compliance and performance reports for management
decision-making.
  • Ensure inclusivity in program delivery, emphasizing opportunities
for youth, women, and people with disabilities.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Public
