As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Principal Consultant—Software Testing to join our team. This role is a blend of leadership, technical expertise, consulting, and mentoring, helping shape the future of software testing within Inspired Testing and for our clients.

Role Overview:

As a Principal Consultant, you will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and expert consulting in software testing. You will work closely with clients, internal teams, and senior management to drive innovation, improve testing standards, and support business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI & Innovation in Testing

• Stay informed on the latest advancements in AI-driven testing, including AI-assisted test generation, self-healing automation, and AI-powered defect prediction.
• If you already have experience in AI-driven testing, lead efforts to integrate AI into test strategies.
• If you are new to AI in testing, commit to upskilling in this space with our guidance and resources.
• Work with internal teams to evaluate and implement AI-driven testing solutions.
• Educate clients and consultants on the benefits and practical applications of AI in software testing.

2. Delivery Standards & Innovation

• Define, implement, and maintain modern testing standards across Inspired Testing.
• Conduct periodic reviews to refine and improve test standards and reporting.

3. Leadership & Consulting

• Act as a technical leader, providing thought leadership in modern software testing practices, including AI-driven testing approaches.
• Engage with senior management to discuss emerging trends, tools, and best practices.
• Offer strategic consulting services to clients, including test strategy definition and informal assessments.

4. Mentoring & Upskilling

• Mentor and coach employees at all levels in test automation, performance, AI-driven testing, and other advanced testing disciplines.
• Provide guidance and support to delivery consultants facing technical challenges.

5. Business Development Support

• Assist the sales team by attending pre-sales calls and advising on AI-driven testing solutions.
• Contribute to high-quality proposals, including RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Build strong relationships across operations, sales, people management, and delivery teams.
• Align testing initiatives with overall business objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications:

✅ Experience:

• 10+ years in software testing, with a focus on automation, performance, or DevOps testing.
• Strong experience in consulting and pre-sales engagements.
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience in AI-driven testing is preferred but not mandatory—however, a strong interest and willingness to upskill in AI is required.

✅ Technical Skills:

• Expertise in test automation, performance testing, and CI/CD integration.
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools (or willingness to learn about them).
• Knowledge of accessibility, security, and cloud testing is advantageous.

✅ Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.
