The SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE) Consultant is responsible for executing the fieldwork for the Cape Town SAP CoE within the Risk Assurance division. The CoE Consultant is responsible for executing the fieldwork for the Cape Town SAP Centre of Excellence within the Risk Assurance division. This is office-based work and is mostly done on behalf of remote PwC firms around the world, using PwC proprietary tools, robotic process automation and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets. The services provided by the CoE give assurance over the ERP software package SAP.

Typically, the CoE Consultant will receive data from remote SAP systems and perform the following activities:

• Check the data for accuracy and completeness.
• Understand the technical details of what they are doing and how to do it, using available resources and coaching.
• Execute the required tests and tasks based on the supplied work programmes and task lists.
• Document the results accurately into pre-designed templates.
• Communicate with the responsible manager and remote firm contacts as needed.

Comprehensive SAP and CoE-specific training will be provided.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• An undergraduate degree with a strong information technology/systems component. (Hons. degree advantageous.)
• SAP experience or training is useful but not required.

Key knowledge and skills:

• Strong basic computer skills.
• Curious and able to learn complex technical concepts fast.
• Solid understanding of the concepts of risk, processes and controls.
• Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of exceptional quality work and interactions.
• Ability to follow instructions closely.
• Ability to manage workload under time pressure.
• Excellent communication skills (clear and concise), especially in the written word.
