Job Summary:We are looking for a seasoned Technical Lead to oversee the technical development and strategy of our dating app. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and experience in managing and mentoring high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Strategy: Define and implement the technical strategy and vision for the company, aligning with business objectives.

2. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure high-quality output.

3. Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical development of the app, ensuring adherence to industry standards, best practices, and company policies.

4. Architecture and Design: Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient system architectures.

5. Technical Roadmap: Develop and maintain a technical roadmap, prioritizing features and projects based on business objectives and technical feasibility.

6. Stakeholder Management: Communicate technical plans, progress, and risks to stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and engineering teams.

7. Recruitment and Hiring: Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for technical team members, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and expertise.

8. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Manage technical budgets and resource allocation, ensuring effective use of resources and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements:

1. Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.

2. Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and mentoring high-performing teams.

3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

4. Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align technical strategy with business objectives.

5. Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and engineering.

6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technical landscapes, industry trends, and business requirements.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience with Dating Apps: Previous experience working on dating apps or similar platforms.

2. Knowledge of Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

3. DevOps Experience: Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R50 000,00 - R85 000,00 per month
