We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sandblaster/Coating Applicator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cleaning surfaces using sandblasting techniques and applying various coatings to industrial and commercial structures and equipment. Your attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Sandblasting: Use sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces, removing rust, old paint, scale, and other contaminants from metal, concrete, and other materials.

- Coating Application: Apply protective coatings to various surfaces, ensuring even coverage and adherence to industry standards.

- Surface Preparation: Mask, tape, and prepare surfaces for coating, ensuring areas that should remain uncoated are protected.

- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain sandblasting and coating equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.

- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of surfaces before and after sandblasting and coating to ensure the work meets required standards and specifications.

- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and following industry best practices for sandblasting and coating application.

- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate logs of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience as a sandblaster or coating applicator is preferred.

- Knowledge of sandblasting equipment and techniques.

- Experience with a variety of coating materials.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

- Valid drivers license may be required for travel to job sites.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift up to 25 KG and work in physically demanding conditions.

- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.

- Comfortable working with hazardous materials and in noisy environments.

Working Conditions:

- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, in various weather conditions.

- Exposure to dust, fumes, and noise from sandblasting equipment and coatings.

- PPE (such as respirators, gloves, and protective clothing) must be worn at all times during work.
