A well-established production company is hiring a Production Manager. This is a newly created position, and the successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Production Manager.

The candidate must be situated in Nelspruit or/ in the Malelane areas.

Package: R25,000 - R35,000 per month

Requirements:

• 5 years experience in a production facility
• Must have chocolate / candy industry experience
• Project management skills
• Managing a team
• Product costing and new product development project costs
• Food safety experience
• Xero accounting system experience
• Valid code B drivers license

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Planning and organizing production schedules
• Analysis production schedules, input, output and efficiency
• Assessing project and resource requirements
• Estimating, negotiating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
• Assisting with the implementation of quality control standards
• Overseeing production processes
• Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary
• Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials
• Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment
• Liaising and negotiations with buyers
• Liaising with sales staff and order forecasting
• Supervising and managing the work of the facility
• Organizing relevant training sessions
• Status reports including raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Liaising with teams for transport / dispatch
• Management of the export process
