Major Culvert Inspectors - 12 Months Contract (Eastern Cape)

Reports To: Structures Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct TMH19 major culvert inspections on provincial roads.
• Assess and document structural conditions of major culverts using the CSIR STRUMAN Bridge Management System.
• Identify structural defects and recommend maintenance or rehabilitation solutions.
• Ensure that inspections are in line with COTO guidelines and project requirements.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on major culvert conditions.
• Work closely with Bridge Inspectors to ensure a holistic assessment of road structures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• COTO Accreditation as a Major Culvert Inspector.
• Degree in Engineering is compulsory
• Must have completed at least 50 TMH19 major culvert inspections since COTO accreditation, within the past 5 years.
• Must be a qualified Professional Civil Engineering Technician, Technologist, or Engineer
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Type: TemporaryContract length: 12 months

License/Certification:

• COTO Accreditation (Required)
