Intercare Corporate Services seeks to recruit an Operations Manager: Primary Care. The purpose of this position is to oversee and optimise the operational performance of a portfolio of Care Settings. This role involves driving profitability, strategising operational initiatives, and aligning them with Intercares strategic goals to ensure exceptional service delivery and operational excellence.

CRITICAL OUTPUTS:

Leadership and People Management:

• Demonstrate visible leadership aligned with Intercares purpose, values, and strategy.
• Manage, mentor, and develop staff across the reporting Care Settings.
• Foster a culture of accountability, autonomy, and professional growth.

Operational Management:

• Implement, manage, and monitor operational strategy in line with company standards.
• Identify and mitigate operational, compliance, and clinical risks, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and healthcare professionals.
• Communicate operational updates and initiatives to key stakeholders.
• Drive and manage projects in conjunction with department heads, Business Unit Managers, and/or Executives.

Business Optimisation and Profitability:

• Optimise resource allocation, staffing models, and revenue streams to drive profitability across Care Settings.
• Monitor and report on financial performance in collaboration with Practice Managers.
• Implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Support the COO in achieving business unit objectives and driving standardisation initiatives.
• Promote innovation in care delivery and operational processes to improve patient and operational outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred NQF Level 6 / 7 (e.g., BCom / Dip.)
• 5 - 7 years proven management experience is preferred
• Valid Code 8 drivers license and own transport.
• Willingness to travel frequently to facilities, with some overnight stays.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, pressurised environment.
• On-call availability for emergencies and support.
• Overtime may be required.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer and service-oriented mindset.
• Basic understanding of labour legislation.
• Advanced computer proficiency.
