The Senior Manager: Digital Application Governance role is to provide Group wide leadership and innovation on Digital and API Development Services. Lead the design, development and implementation model for the various Digital & API development services and technologies, platforms, tools and control the release where solutions are centralised.

Key success factors for this role include the ability to plan, build and maintain the foundational elements of Digital & API Services, including data, content, technology and enabling tools.

Context

The continuous technology development in Digital & API Software development, utilising Cloud hardware, API virtualisation platforms, API development, testing and monitoring tools, as well the support of API development efforts for the benefit of All OPCOs. This role will oversee API governance across the Group for API developed through S2, and oversight and governance of Digital services development through S2 and other parties.

MTN is entering a new phase in its lifecycle where operational and commercial excellence has become critical for success. The urgency for change has become more heightened amidst increased competitive intensity across all markets in which MTN operates. The Groups Technology function must therefore ensure the successful delivery in context of:

• The geographic complexity of MTNs foot print across Africa and the Middle East
• Management of executive and local shareholder expectations across all OpCos and FibreCos
• Achievement of top quartile operating efficiency and effectiveness through scale and common processes
• Driving growth through business intelligence, machine learning and standardization to maximize business impact
• Management of customers, OPCOs and supplier expectations
• Enhance MTN position as a leading network and system provider
Constant dynamics and local challenges in the economic, regulatory and legal environments
