Purpose of the position

The radiographer in the PWUD programme will provide a high standard of radiographic chest x-ray imaging including the use of Computer Aided Detection (CAD) systems whilst ensuring that patients receive high quality care. Deliver a high standard of service to relevant stakeholders and to a diversity of patient presentations. Communicate effectively with community and facility-based teams to ensure delivery of high-quality service and linkage to appropriate services.

• Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification in Radiography from College or university
• Current Registration with HPCSA
• Must Have a BHF registration to apply for the registration of the DCXR mobile.
• Minimum of three years experience as a Radiographer
• Experience in working with key populations, particularly PWUD beneficial
• Previous experience using CAD would be advantageous
• Private Practice Number will be an added advantage
• Fluent in English and isiZulu
• Valid drivers licence and willingness to conduct fieldwork

• Mobile digital chest x-ray screening for TB case finding
• Referrals of clients with high CAD4TB score for presumptive TB testing

• Quality Control
• Readiness Counselling of PWUD
• Record keeping
• Trainings and information sharing
• Line management
