Job Description
Responsibilities/Tasks of a Senior project manager
Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for projects, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring clarity among stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure projects adhere to established methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and best practices.
Stakeholder & Client Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and project priorities.
- Engage with clients and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Facilitate project meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution discussions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for project-related communication, keeping stakeholders informed of key milestones and risks.
- Manage and nurture the relationship between Interfront and the client, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and grow the client account.
- Ensure contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs) are met, driving value for both parties
- Proactively manage client expectations and ensure continuous engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential project challenges.
- Drive resolution of issues that may impact project timelines, scope, or quality.
- Ensure effective change management processes are in place to accommodate scope adjustments.
Process Improvement & Best Practices:
- Continuously evaluate project management processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and enhance project delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the client and project management methodologies.
Quality Assurance & Testing Oversight:
- Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure rigorous testing and validation of deliverables.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure all feedback is addressed before final project delivery.
- Monitor compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project contracts, status reports, and lessons learned.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, key risks, and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure transparency and effective communication across all project phases.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree, diploma, or matric with a relevant certification in Project Management, Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Experience with project management and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana)
- Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
- Experience in client relationship management, account management, or similar roles.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
