The Feedem Group seeks to appoint a Sales and Operations Controller who will provide support to operations team by identifying new sales opportunities, managing client communications and handling administrative processes to ensure a seamless sales process support in achieving sales targets through strategic coordination.

Minimum Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in hospitality, operations or similar industry
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding financial aspect of the operations essential
  • English / additional SA languages would be advantageous
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Valid Drivers license with own vehicle

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Pipeline Contribution

  • Actively support and assist the operations team in driving sales efforts and achieving targets.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategies to maximise sales opportunities

Client Research and Appointment Setting

  • Research potential clients and sales opportunities across all corporate catering sectors
  • Generate qualified leads and schedule appointments for the Operations Managers.
  • Liaise with Operations Managers to check diary availability and schedule client meetings
  • Coordinate and manage meeting logistics to ensure efficiency

Database Management

  • Maintain and update the client database with comprehensive and accurate information including but not limited to:
    • Feedback from calls and meetings
    • Information from client engagements, such as current incumbents and contract expiry dates
    • Timely updates on tender releases and contract opportunities
  • Track the last point of the contact with clients and ensure timely follow-ups aligned with contract end dates or tender release schedules
  • Proactively coordinate outreach to maintain strong client relationships and ensure strategic alignment with sales opportunities.
  • Document and organise sales feedback and client interaction details.
  • Update meeting outcomes for both internal and client-facing operations meetings

Proposal and Tender Management

  • Assist in drafting, editing and finalising client proposals and tender documents
  • Ensure all submission meet deadlines and adhere to quality standards
  • Develop innovative tailored solutions in collaboration with Operations teams
  • Ensure proposals are professional crafted and precisely structured
  • Provide assistance in drafting financial business feasibilities including but not limited to :
    • Staff structure / salaries
    • Overhead cost
    • Investments
    • Meal process / GPs
    • Projected profits
    • Management fee etc.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Act as a liaison between Operations team and clients to support smooth communication
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure alignment or deliverables
Market and Industry Monitoring
  • Stay abreast of industry news, trends and opportunities to guide the teams outreach strategy.
