ROLE: Digital Marketing Project Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Understanding Business Requirements and Goals

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with clients, internal teams, and executives

to gather and align business needs and project objectives, specifically in the

digital and social media landscape.

  • Requirement Analysis: Document and analyse business requirements to

ensure they align with project goals, digital trends, and client expectations.

2. Relationship & Account Management

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with

clients and stakeholders to ensure project success and business growth in social

media and digital marketing initiatives.

  • Ongoing Communication: Act as the primary point of contact, providing

consistent updates and ensuring alignment between digital goals and

project deliverables.

3. Social Media & Digital Project Strategy

  • Project Brief Development: Draft comprehensive project briefs outlining

scope, objectives, and deliverables for digital campaigns, social media

strategies, and content marketing.

  • Strategic Problem-Solving: Analyse client business challenges and propose

digital and social media solutions that enhance engagement and brand

awareness.

4. Documentation & Functional Specifications

  • Technical Documentation: Develop functional specification documents that

clearly define marketing project requirements, including platform guidelines,

content strategies, and analytics.

  • Project Clarity: Ensure all project documentation is thorough, clear, and

actionable for creative, development, and marketing teams.

5. Project Planning & Execution

  • Project Management Tools: Create and maintain project plans using tools like MS

Project, Jira, Trello, or other agreed-upon platforms for digital marketing and

social media scheduling.

  • Timeline & Budget Management: Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and

budgets, ensuring adherence to project scope and financial constraints.

6. Project Delivery & Quality Assurance

  • On-Time, High-Quality Delivery: Ensure all digital and social media projects meet

deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations.

  • Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring digital

content and social media campaigns align with business and client

expectations.

7. Testing & DeliverySign-Off

  • Comprehensive Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing to ensure functionality,

performance, and user experience meet digital marketing standards.

  • Approval Process: Facilitate delivery sign-off with clients and internal teams before

project launch

8. Client Feedback and Reporting

  • Regular Client Updates: Provide consistent progress updates and address

feedback promptly for digital campaigns and marketing initiatives.

  • Performance Reports: Develop and share detailed reports on campaign

performance, engagement metrics, and key insights.

9. Digital & Technical Proficiency

  • Data Knowledge Data Analytics & Insights: Interpret performance metrics

(Google Analytics, CRM data, CMS, SEO, etc.) to optimize campaigns and

inform strategic recommendations.

  • MarTech Management: Utilize marketing automation platforms (e.g.,

HubSpot, Marketo) and other software to streamline workflows and enhance

campaign performance.

  • Technical Acumen: Understand and apply best practices in social media

strategy, influencer collaborations, paid media, and content distribution.

  • Reporting: Ability to engage with campaign data, to produce accurate

reports and draw insights on creative and platform performance.

  • Tools Insights: Candidate should also have competencies in Data

Storytelling or Reporting tools such as Swydo or Looker Dashboards.

  • Social Media Management: Proficient in organic social media management

META Business Suit, LinkedIn Advertising and Management, X and TikTok.

  • Analytics and Tracking: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and META

Pixel advantageous

  • Experience in marketing related components of Web Innovations and User

Experience on digital platforms.

10. Costing & Budgeting

  • Accurate Costing: Develop and present project cost estimates based on client

requirements for digital campaigns and content marketing strategies.

  • Financial Oversight: Ensure project budgets remain within scope and

provide transparency on financial planning.

11. Travel & Client Meetings

  • Client Visits: Be prepared to travel for client meetings, presentations, or

project discussions as needed.

  • On-Site Collaboration: Engage in face-to-face interactions when necessary

to strengthen client relationships and enhance digital and social media

project management.

12. Continuous Learning & Development

  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on emerging social media platforms, digital

marketing techniques, and new technologies.

  • Skill Application: Continuously apply new skills and knowledge to improve

project outcomes and enhance business success.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing digital marketing

projects and/or campaigns in a digital Agency. Website experience advantageous

  • Project Management Skills: Familiarity with basic PM methodologies (e.g., Agile,

Waterfall), scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of MarTech, Data, SEO, SEM, email marketing,

social media, and analytics tools.

  • Analytical Abilities: Comfortable interpreting data and using insights to drive

decisions and creating reports.
