Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Site Manager to oversee and manage construction operations at our project sites in South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily site operations and ensure all activities adhere to project plans and timelines.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report regularly to project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
• Maintain quality control by reviewing work to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
• Prepare and maintain site documentation, including progress reports, safety audits, and project logs.
• Manage site resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to ensure optimal utilization.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project milestones, risks, and challenges.

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager or in a similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in construction projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of South African construction regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in project management tools and construction-related software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing large-scale projects or specialized construction sectors (e.g., infrastructure, commercial buildings, or housing developments).
