ELIGIBILITY Internal and External CLOSING DATE 07.02.2025 REFERENCE NUMBER SS 03/25 Ext SALARY Basic Salary: R 499 822 p.a DEPARTMENT Public Safety DIRECTORATE SAFETY AND SECURITY Professional Officer - Investigations Advisory and Strategic Initiaves Requirements

• Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification ( preferably a B-Degree or

National Diploma in Law)

• A valid drivers licence
• 3-5 years relevant experience

Key Performance Areas

• Render assistance to Assistant Chief by applying a substantial body

of high-level professional knowledge coupled with in depth experience to develop and implement a range of initiatives, support the development of policies initiatives systems and procedures within the Directorate and to ensure compliance with the current legislative framework.

• Assist to coordinate and facilitate working groups within the

department and where required, across the directorate for the development and implementation of standardized projects, processes, systems and procedures.

• Assist to coordinate and facilitate the Directorates Integrated Risk

Management (IRM) portfolio.

• Identify and define the immediate, short and long term plans for the

Unit.

• Ensure that the Citys EPIC or any other Safety & Security

Technology is utilised, properly led, directed and coordinated in the branch.

• Assist to manage training and skills development and the transfer of

skills and knowledge.
