. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Junior Agronomist

• Field Monitoring and Data Collection

o Collect and report data on crop health, growth, development and environmental conditions

and report to Senior Agronomist.

o Identify pests, diseases, and stress factors in planted fields.

o Identify acceptable fields and areas to plant.

• Crop Management Support

o Report crop development to growers and keep Agric system up to date.

o Develop harvesting plans, including factory scheduling and coordinating with growers.

o Negotiate and sign contracts for the purchase of raw products.

o Determine harvesting dates and organize the transport.

o Work closely with Supply Chain and Production.

• Research and Trials

o Support field trials on new varieties, and data capturing

o Collect field data, report findings to Senior Agronomists.

• Communication with Growers

o Provide technical support and guidance to growers.

o Communicate standards, requirements, and best practices.

• Quality Control and Compliance

o Conduct quality assessments on vegetable fields and give feedback to growers.

o Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

• Record-Keeping and Reporting

o Maintain accurate records of field activities and observations.

o Generate reports on field conditions, trials, and quality outcomes.

• Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards

o Adhere to safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment.

o Report any safety or environmental risks and support sustainability initiatives.

2. Qualifications and Experience Required.

• Degree in biological or agricultural science

• Technical Knowledge of crop management practices within the territory and product

expertise

• 3-5 years field experience in vegetable production

• Analytical and creative skills to identify and take advantage of new business opportunities

within the region

• Computer Literate

• Communication and human relation skills necessary

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to establish relationships

• Ability to travel in region daily and a valid drivers licenc
