Position: Board Member (Volunteer)

Food for His Children is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering families living in extreme poverty in Tanzania. Through sustainable development, education, and discipleship, we help families transform their lives and communities. We are seeking passionate, skilled individuals to join our Board of Directors to help guide our mission and impact.

Role & Responsibilities:

● Provide strategic direction and governance to ensure the organization fulfills its mission. ● Actively participate in quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person).

● Assist in fundraising efforts, including donor engagement and grant opportunities.

● Offer expertise and oversight in areas such as program development, financial management, operations, and marketing.

● Serve as an ambassador for the organization, advocating for our mission and expanding our network.

● Support the Executive Director and staff as needed with insights, guidance, and professional expertise.

● Participate in committee work and special projects as needed. Qualifications & Skills Sought for 2025: We are looking for board members with experience in one or more of the following areas:

● Program Development & Evaluation

● Operations & Systems Management

● Fundraising & Grants

● Marketing & Content Writing

● International & Community Development

● Nonprofit Management

● Tourism

● Pastoral Leadership & Discipleship

● Finance & Accounting

● Data Analysis

● Public Speaking

● Agriculture & Food Science (dairy preferred)

● Project Management

● Storytelling & Communications

Time Commitment:

● Approximately 4-6 hours per month (includes board meetings, committee work, and event participation).

● Serve a term of two years, with the option for renewal.

Ideal Candidate:

● Strong commitment to our mission and values.

● Passion for Jesus and faith-driven service.

● Willingness to contribute time, skills, and financial resources to support the organization. ● Experience serving on nonprofit boards (preferred but not required).

● Team player with strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
