Bookkeeper

This established and fast-growing Freight and Logistics service provider based in Midrand, Johannesburg offers a great opportunity for a suitably qualified individual.

Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Processing of financial transactions.
• Provide financial and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate collection and allocation of payments on Customer / Supplier Accounts.
• Prepare creditor reconciliations and follow-up on account discrepancies.
• Collect relevant data and prepare month-end statements & advice notes; produce accurate month-end reports (Up to balance sheet); ensure queries are resolved and maintain filing system.
• Maintain service provider registers and various compliance documentation.
• Upload payments on banking system.
• Process Quotes, Sales Orders & Invoices relating to debtors accounts.
• Attending SARS verification & audits.
• Must reside in and around the Midrand area.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience will be required:

• Financial-related qualification / certification.
• Experienced Bookkeeper with 3 - 5yrs Exp / Sage Cloud Accounting (Carry out full bookkeeping function).
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• Must be proficient in MS Office Packages.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Competencies

The ideal candidate should be detail orientated, have good planning skills and must be able to handle pressure. Incumbent should portray high level of skills in area of prioritising and must be customer focused. The individual must possess exceptional interpersonal, writing and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to R15 000,00 per month
