Vacancy for Building Supervisor

The North Point Body Corporate is looking to appoint a full-time building supervisor, based at the building in Morningside, and reporting to the Trustees.

We seek a male of sober habits , capable of supervising and managing a high rise block of flats in Morningside, Durban

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Matriculated or equivalent . Further education in building management, general repairs or related field will be considered an advantage.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in a maintenance supervisory role
• A valid driverslicense and own reliable transport
• Computer literate and basic knowledge of software.
• Proficient in English.

Candidate with the following skills will be given preference:

• COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to communicate with professionals, service providers, residents.

Report to property owners, property manager and trustees.

• TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
• Understanding and functioning of building systems, plumbing, electrical , regular HVAC maintenance.
• Identify problems for maintenance, co-ordinate repairs and oversee building functionality .
• ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
• Strong organizational skills are necessary.
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Managed time effectively
• Maintain records
• Manage reception / general office duties
• PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS
• Address and solve technical issues quickly
• Resolve residents complaints and queries
• Find practical solutions to incidents and safety concerns.

Work Hours

Weekdays: 7h00-17h00

Saturday: 8h00- 11h00
