The job role will consist of compiling annual financial statements in accordance with the compilation standard for a variety of client portfolios

• Gather client information
• Prepare annual working paper files (including tax computations)
• Compile annual financial statements for Companies, Close Corporations, Trusts and personals
• Draft annual financial statements (AFS) on Caseware
• Budget vs actual analysis and reasons for overruns
• Resolve review queries from Assistant Manager/Manager/Partner and do final entries as per Partners finalisation
• Manage individual productivity and budgets (include completion of timesheets)
• Foster, build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external client

• Recognised 3-year degree as per the SAIPA/SAICA requirements
• 4+ years of experience in an accounting/auditing environment, completed SAIPA/SAICA articles is preferred
• Professional membership preferred
• Excellent Computer skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, i.e Word, Excel and Outlook is essential
• Proficiency in Xero / Pastel / Sage is essential
• Proficiency in Caseware and Caseview is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Quality and detail oriented
• Excellent customer focus
• Planning and organising skills
• Drivers licence (preferred not essential)
• Own vehicle (preferred not essential
