Construction Foreman

Job Responsibilities:

• On-Site Leadership:
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and laborers.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Act as the primary point of contact between field staff, project managers, and clients.
• Quality & Safety Compliance:
• Enforce strict compliance with OSHA (or local) safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct daily safety briefings and inspect site conditions to mitigate hazards.
• Ensure all work meets building codes, blueprints, and quality standards.
• Project Execution:
• Interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to guide the team.
• Monitor material deliveries, equipment usage, and inventory levels.
• Report daily progress, delays, or issues to the Project Manager.
• Problem-Solving:
• Resolve on-site conflicts, logistical challenges, or design discrepancies promptly.
• Propose cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
• Team Development:
• Train and mentor crew members, promoting skill development and accountability.
• Maintain a positive, productive work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum [3-5] years as a Construction Foreman or similar role in [residential/commercial/industrial] construction.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) is a plus.
• Certifications: Valid [OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or local safety certifications] preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift [50+ lbs], stand for extended periods, and work in outdoor conditions.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R12 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
