Join a leading agency that is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crisis Communications Manager to join our team and help effectively navigate and manage any potential crises that may arise.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading our crisis communication efforts and ensuring that the brands reputation and image is protected during times of uncertainty or negative publicity.

You will also be responsible for conducting post-crisis evaluations to identify lessons learned and improve future response strategies.

This position requires a proactive and adaptable professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a deep understanding of media relations, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Main focus of this role:

  • Crisis Management: Experience developing and executing crisis management and resolution plans, and demonstrate ability to navigate high-pressure situations. This includes anticipation, planning, execution, and follow-up of all crisis communication activities, both internally and externally.
  • As a Crisis Communication Specialist, you will work closely with internal teams, leadership, and external stakeholders to anticipate potential crises, prepare response strategies, and manage real-time communication during emergencies. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring that the organization maintains transparency, trust, and credibility with its audience, even in the face of adversity.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and scenario planning to identify potential crises and develop proactive strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and timely messaging and alignment with the companys core values and mission.
  • Monitor and track media coverage and public sentiment to identify potential issues or crises and develop appropriate responses.
  • Ensure smooth information flow and close alignment with internal crisis team members
  • Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets and influencers to proactively manage the companys reputation.
  • Create and distribute crisis communication materials, including press releases, statements, and social media content, to effectively communicate the companys response and actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Communications or Public Relations.
  • Proven experience in crisis communication or public relations.
  • Ability to remain calm and think strategically under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in developing and executing communication plans.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools and analytics for public sentiment.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours during emergencies.
