Demand Planner

ROLE OVERVIEW

Edward Snell & Co. is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our dynamic team in Cape Town.

QUALIFICATION

3 year B Degree / 4 year Diploma supply chain management, logistics or similar is essential

CIPS/CPIM would be advantageous

EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a planning environment (Demand planning, S&OP management, supply planning).

Shipping knowledge and materials planning would be advantageous.

MS Office competency, highly competent in Excel

Experience with planning/demand/forecasting tools

SAP or similar ERP experience would be advantageous.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively engage in the end-to-end Sales and Operational Planning process, with a focus on demand & supply planning.

Support the Material Planning process as well as the execution of the material plan and finished goods volumes for the production team.

Ordering stock from suppliers and principals to fulfil customer demand and maintaining service levels.

Ability to provide stock analysis to drive profitability and maintain optimal stock levels

Resolving issues where stock does not arrive on time in full.

Ensure that the monthly production schedule is aligned to forecasts to ensure delivery in line with sales requirements

Work in conjunction with the Planning, Logistics and Sales to guarantee order fulfilment in line with customer requirements.

Maintaining all documents relating to supply chain processes in accordance with shipping and quality requirements.

Communicating informed risks within the business to key stakeholders.

Managing the forecasts and co-ordination of raw materials and production for various third-party/contract bottlers.

Supporting adhoc forecasting and planning processes.
