Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant - Morningside, Durban

A well-established general dental practice in Morningside, Durban, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a small but busy practice with a dedicated team, including one full-time dentist, a part-time hygienist, and a supportive administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Chairside assisting during dental procedures
• Cleaning and sterilization of instruments
• Administrative tasks, including filing and retrieving patient folders
• Assisting with panoramic X-rays (training can be provided if necessary)

Requirements:

• HPCSA-registered Dental Assistant
• 1 to 3 years of experience preferred, but newly qualified candidates will also be considered
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel) is an advantage but not mandatory

Contract & Salary:

• Fixed-term contract: 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of renewal for a year
• Start Date: 1 April 2025
• Salary Range:
• Newly qualified: R6,500/month (subject to increase after one year)
• 1 to 3 years of experience: R7,000 - R7,500/month
• 3+ years of experience: Open to negotiation based on skills and qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R6 500,00 - R10 000,00 per month

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Private Practice: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• HPCSA (Required)
