DUT has six Faculties, Accounting and Informatics, Applied Sciences, Management Sciences, Engineering and the Built Environment, Health Sciences and Arts& Design. Finance Post: Financial Systems Specialist Minimum Requirements:

• To provide support to clients and training to business process owners by empowering users while continually reviewing and improving business processes through the implementation of changes to the designated application environment.
• To maintain the integrity of the ERP system from a functional business perspective.
• NQF level 7 in Finance or Commerce Plus ERP system certification OR Postgraduate certificate in project management, database design, database implementation, ERP specific administration OR A bachelors degree in Information Systems or IT related degree with post graduate certificates in financial management and project management.
• A proven background in accounting/financial process.
• Advanced grasp of relational databases and operating systems.
• Outstanding Excel (VBA) skills.
• SAP Certification.
• 5 to 8 years in financial environment with supervisory experience. This should include a minimum of 3 years experience on ERP Financial Module (FI)

Summary of Duties:

• Financial Systems Planning.
• Application Support, maintenance and changes to business solutions and processes.
• Provide shared compliance assistance to the Compliance Unit.
• Month End Process.

Special requirements:

• Extended working hours.
