About UsKG Short Stay is one of the UKs leading short-term rental companies, managing over 140 properties in South Wales with £3-4 million annual turnover. We aim to deliver industry-leading guest experiences and strong returns for our landlords. Now, were hiring a remote General Manager to take full operational ownership and directly support the CEO.

Your MissionYou will be the operational engine of KG Short Stay, owning sales, customer experience and day-to-day delivery on the ground.. Leading both our remote and local teams. Your remit includes revenue growth, guest experience, cleaning / maintenance coordination and leading customer service & reservations (sales) team. Youll leverage modern tech and AI to wow guests and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Revenue: Own occupancy and revenue targets. Optimise pricing across channels (Airbnb, Booking.com, direct), drive conversion improvements, and develop upsell strategies.
• Guest Experience: Ensure every property meets 5-star standards. Monitor reviews, resolve escalations, and implement process improvements.
• Property Operations: Manage all cleaning and maintenance coordination for 140+ properties. Schedule teams, track performance, and resolve issues promptly.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the customer service & reservations team (who also handle upsells), plus manage on-the-ground cleaners and maintenance contractors.
• Tech & Automation: Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) and property-management software (Tokeet, CRMs, Slack) to automate workflows and increase efficiency.
• Reporting & Strategy: Provide the CEO with weekly KPI updates and data-driven recommendations to enhance operations and growth.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the core team and CEO to align on campaigns, promotions, and broader business strategy.

What Were Looking For

• 5+ years in operational leadership roles, managing both remote and on-the-ground teams.
• Proven track record of running sales / customer service teams and delivering measurable results (revenue uplifts, NPS gains, review improvements).
• Demonstrable experience using AI tools like ChatGPT to streamline processes and generate insights.
• Highly autonomous, results-driven, and comfortable making decisions with minimal oversight.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Clear, articulate and confident communicator.
• Tech-savvy: proficient with property-management platforms, CRMs, Slack, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Pay & Progression

• OTE Rate: R45 000-R90 000 per month (30 hrs/week) - Top end is based off KPIs / metrics being hit

Pay: R350,00 - R600,00 per hour
