Position Overview
We are seeking the services of an HR Generalist who will be responsible for managing daily HR operations and providing comprehensive support across various HR functions. This role involves employee relations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and training, ensuring alignment with the companys strategic goals and compliance with labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Partner with managers to define hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Manage the onboarding process to ensure a smooth integration for new hires.
2. Employee Relations:
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Mediate workplace conflicts and provide guidance on resolution strategies.
- Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
3. Performance Management:
- Assist in developing and implementing performance appraisal systems.
- Provide coaching to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
- Analyze performance data and recommend improvement strategies.
4. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to upskill employees.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
- Compile and submit WSP/ATR
5. Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies, procedures
6. Industrial Relations
- Assist Managers with investigations for misconduct
- Draft Warning forms and charges.
- Attend CCMA for Conciliation and Arbitration
- Monitor and track CCMA cases
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree or Diploma in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years in a generalist HR role.
- Knowledge of Employment laws and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
