The Western Cape Blood Service is on the lookout for a dedicated HVACR Technician to join our team.

A permanent vacancy exists for an HVACR Technician - Paterson Grade B5 in our Maintenance Department.

Purpose of the job:

Under the guidance of the Supervisor - the HVACR Mechanic performs the following duties but not limited to:

• The installation, maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance of Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning.
• Maintain refrigeration equipment according to governmental regulations and company work instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent certificate.
• Formal refrigeration training.
• National Certificate N3 advantageous.
• Safe handling of Refrigerants advantageous.
• 2 years proven job-related experience in a similar role.
• Code B drivers license.
• Must have own reliable transport.

  A combination of the following skills, knowledge, and attributes is required:

• Must have Good Communication skills.
• Must be able to handle administration work.
• A willingness to work as part of a team.
• Will be required to be on standby for after-hours call-out duties.
