I AM WE ARE
I Am, We Are (IAWA) is a global youth empowerment organization dedicated to helping young people overcome challenges such as high unemployment and educational inequities that hinder their path to becoming self-sufficient adults. Founded in 2015, IAWA delivers tailored programs in South Africa and the United States that equip high school-aged youth with the mindset, skills, and resources to confidently own their futures. Our programs have had a transformative impact, inspiring participants to pursue higher education, develop essential life skills, and engage as global citizens, thereby breaking cycles of poverty and opening pathways to sustainable success. IAWA is committed to creating a world where all youth are globally aware, socially responsible, and economically free.
IAWA is a proudly Level 1 B-BBEE contributor and a registered Non-Profit Company (NPC) in South Africa (Reg. 2016/412074/08), as well as a recognized NPO by the Department of Social Development (Reg. 315-042 NPO).
