Job Description:

Academian is seeking a skilled Italian Language Consultant for a contract-based position. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Italian language and proven experience in translation, content localization, curriculum development, or related fields. This role will involve ensuring the linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and high-quality standards of Italian-language educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide linguistic expertise in Italian for the translation, localization, and adaptation of educational content.
• Work closely with instructional designers, writers, and project managers to ensure the creation of high-quality and culturally relevant educational materials for Italian-speaking audiences.
• Translate and adapt learning materials from English (or other languages) into Italian, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and cultural appropriateness.
• Review and edit Italian-language educational content to ensure it aligns with correct grammar, syntax, and cultural norms.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on all Italian-language materials, ensuring they are error-free, easy to understand, and adhere to educational standards.
• Offer feedback and recommendations on tone, style, and cultural relevance to ensure the content is engaging and appropriate for Italian-speaking learners.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and improve the overall learning experience for Italian-speaking audiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Linguistics, Translation, Education, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in translation, content localization, or a similar role, with a focus on the Italian language.
• Fluency in Italian, with a strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and linguistic nuances (e.g., regional dialects).
• Experience translating or localizing educational content is highly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free content.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with translation tools or software is a plus.
• Previous experience in the education or e-learning industry is an advantage.

Contract Details:

• Type: Contract, Remote
• Duration: 3-6 months (with potential for extension)
• Hourly Rate: Based on experience
• Start Date: Immediate

Pay: R10,00 - R50,00 per hour
