Job Description:We are seeking Language Experts for a contract position to join our team. Depending on your location, we are looking for individuals who are fluent in a specific language and possess a deep understanding of language, culture, and linguistics. Language Experts will work on a variety of projects, including content localization, translation, language tutoring, and curriculum development, ensuring the highest level of linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level language services, including translation, transcription, and content localization, ensuring accurate and culturally relevant output.
• Work with instructional designers, content creators, and other teams to adapt educational materials to local language and cultural context.
• Review and edit language content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency with brand standards and learning objectives.
• Ensure all content complies with local regulations, industry standards, and educational best practices.
• Assist with the creation and development of language-based assessments and quizzes.
• Act as a consultant on language-related matters, offering advice and guidance on linguistic nuances, language variations, and cultural references.
• Provide tutoring or language support services (if applicable) to learners in a variety of formats.
• Collaborate with international teams to ensure seamless communication and project progression across regions.

Qualifications:

• Native or near-native fluency in the required language (written and spoken).
• Bachelors degree in Linguistics, Language Studies, Translation, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a language expert, linguist, or translator, particularly in educational content.
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and cultural nuances specific to the language.
• Experience in localization and content adaptation for specific target audiences.
• Familiarity with translation and localization tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience in instructional design or teaching is a plus (depending on the role focus).

• Hourly Rate: Based on experience
