Logistics Packaging Specialist

Job Specification

Reporting to the Senior Manager Procurement, the incumbent would be responsible to manage the customer service function according to agreed standards and within the service level agreement within the Agrimark Packaging Material Portfolio. The primary focus is the responsibility for the execution of seasonal Packing Material supply agreements entered into with Fruit Exporters, Fruit Packhouses and Mega Growers. The execution of these agreements includes:

• The integration of Supplier Production Plans, Category Demand Plans, Customer Pack Programs and Agrimark Stockholding Plans.
• Co-ordinating logistics related to the flow of Packing Material from Suppliers to the relevant Packhouses and / or Growers.
• Ensuring compliance to the agreed service levels.
• Ensuring efficient supply related information sharing between stakeholders (Suppliers, BRMs, Branch Managers, Exporters, Packhouses and Growers.)
• Resolving supply related queries and implementing ad hoc changes to plans timeously

The incumbent will support key stakeholders with the optimization of business processes to streamline the flow of Packing Material and to align packing material availability with pack programs. Minimum Requirements

• Relevant B Degree
• 4 years experience in the agri-business industry, specifically within the packaging material environment.
• Understanding the seasonal need of different packaging material and export markets
• Proven track record in stock management, category planning, forecasting and cost analyses.
• Strong customer service orientation with effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent MS Office and Blue Yonder (JDA) systems skills will be advantageous.

• Drive central stock planning and allocations for the portfolio.
• Ensure demand forecasting, bulk ordering, expediting & claims.

• Ensure customers receive excellent customer service and support.
• Provide feedback to management on customer needs, market trends and competitor activities.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities.

• Drive the automation/optimization of packaging material processes and inventory control platforms.
• Identify and collect data from internal & external sources to support B2B interaction leading to business growth.
