Maintenance Technician

Job Description
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of plant equipment both locally and internationally.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on DetNet equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support to the Operations team, assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
  • Build, repair, and maintain test equipment to support operational efficiency and product testing.
  • Assist with projects, including the construction of Lean Cells and remote installations.
  • Offer remote technical support to channel partners for plant equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in plant machinery and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (light current) or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in Mechanical /Electronic repairs and maintenance.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical/electronic diagrams.
  • Experience in Pneumatic Control Systems (understanding, installing, and maintain system).
  • Electronic/explosives plant experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good technical writing skills.
  • Valid Drivers License.
