VACANCY: MARKETING ASSISTANT

Simonsig Wines seeks to appoint a dynamic and enthstic marketing assistant to join our team in Stellenbosch to support our brand and marketing efforts and contribute to the winerys growth.

About this position:

This position reports to the Brand and Marketing Manager and would suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both creative and administrative tasks.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 08h00 - 17h00.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Digital Marketing and PR:

• Assist with creating engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and PR opportunities.
• Assist with maintaining the winerys social media presence, engaging with followers, and monitoring online trends.

Events and Competitions:

• Assist with planning and executing marketing events, including trade shows, tastings, activations, festivals seasonal promotions.
• Attend events as and when required.
• Manage wine competition planning, entries, coordination with stakeholders, and post-competition admin.

Promotional Materials:

• Order and manage inventory for the promotional storeroom.
• Research new merchandising, point-of-sale materials and gifting ideas.

Marketing Administration:

• Provide administrative support to the international sales and marketing team.
• Manage marketing information databases.
• Design basic marketing materials such as promotional brochures, tasting room table talkers and event price lists.

Research and Analysis:

• Research and identify marketing trends and growth opportunities.

Requirements:

• Marketing degree with 2 years of experience in a similar role or 3-5 years of relevant experience with no formal qualification.
• Experience in the wine industry.
• Proficiency in social media platforms, Canva, Mailchimp.
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
• Clear criminal record.
• Skills - attention to detail, time management, creative, and team player.
