Metal Machinist

Hendok has an exciting opportunity in our Engineering Department. We are looking for a talented individual with relevant skills and experience as a Metal Machinist. The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Manager.

Key Purpose

To produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.
• Measuring components to ensure accurate fit of manufactured components.
• Turning accuracy to within 0.01 mm
• Experience with Lathe including a CNC Lathes.
• Fanuc control experience.
• General Drilling, Milling and Grinding.
• Ability to work on a variety of machines.

Qualifications / Experience

• N3/N4 National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Turner Trade Test (or related Machinist/Tooling)
• Minimum 5 Years experience within a similar environment
• Servicing the steel industry previously as a Machinist would be an advantage
• One CNC software an advantage
• CNC experience non-negotiable
