Quality Control Inspector

A well-established plastic injection moulding company based in Blackheath, Cape Town, is looking for a passionate Quality Control Inspector to join their team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Matric (NSC) / NQF Level 4 Education.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Polymer manufacturing industry experience would be preferred.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Read Quality Description Sheet and In-process Inspection Record to comprehend the quality expectations of the manufactured product and Customer requirements.
• Approve or reject in-process manufactured products in line with the part specific Quality Description Sheet and In-process Inspection Record.
• Conduct Hourly or relevant sample validation - of current manufacturing processes in progress, using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications etc.)
• Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures - Shadow-graph.
• Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
• Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards
• Monitor the use of measuring equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and disposition appropriately.
• Prepare and submit reports to the Quality Manager
