This leading South African book publisher and distributor requires the services of a Replenishment Team Leader to join our warehouse team on the night shift and play a pivotal role in managing inventory replenishment and ensuring smooth operations overnight.

Position Overview

The replenishment team leaders primary responsibility is the day-to-day management of the replenishment team of 5, that services a central warehouse through Replenishment of items. This involves replenishment schedules, resolve Supply Chain and inventory management issues across the Warehouse, that directly impact accuracy of Inventory.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of stock control staff to ensure high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and optimal performance.
• Provide clear and concise updates to both the night shift team and management regarding goods and consumables.
• Ensure all stock-related records are kept up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible.
• Manage stock discrepancies, perform investigations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and overstocking, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
• Develop and implement stock control processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

• Ensure that the hand over process between the night and day shifts are handled with synergy and that the relevant info is passed through to the next shift.
• Mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and performance through regular coaching and training.

• Provide regular daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.

Requirements and Skills

• Matric certificate (Minimum requirement). Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management (BCom Supply Chain Preferred)
• 3-5 Years experience in a stock control or inventory role.
• Previous experience leading or managing a team.
• Flexibility to work night shift (typically 16:00 PM - 00:00 AM)

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Administrative Skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to resolve stock discrepancies effectively.
• Strong communication (verbal and written)
• Interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems, stock management systems and basic computer applications e.g. Book Master and Microsoft Office suit.
