• A National Diploma or equivalent technical qualification within the

Geo-Information field;

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in a town planning

environment;

• Experience in a data quality assurance environment would be

advantageous;

• Proven proficiency of Geographical Information Systems

(ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro) and MS Office is essential;

• A valid Code B drivers licence;
• Knowledge of 3D applications and SAP LUM would be

advantageous. Key Performance Areas

• Perform GIS operations on a variety of applications;
• Capture edit and maintain datasets in a versioned Geo-database;
• Provide data analysis in order to check, validate and manipulate

data to achieve consistency and accuracy;

• Prepare and produce spatial reports and maps on request;
• Adhere to the operations of the branch pertaining to operational

targets, staff performance, productivity, development and training;

• Provide a Technical Support Service by conducting research to

keep abreast on the latest GIS trends and technology and contribute to the formulation for the divisions performance targets.
