• Bachelors Degree (BSc , BTECH in Engineering or

Environmental Health

• Current professional registration with a statutory

professional body in Engineering (ECSA) or Health Sciences (HPCSA)

• At least three (3) to five (5) years relevant experience
• A valid Code 08 (B) drivers licence
• Note: Applicants will be required to work outside of

normal working hours which may include working after hours Key Performance Areas

• Processes noise applications (exemptions, zoning and

special consent, business licence and building plans)

• Assists in the approval of noise exemption applications
• Undertakes or requests environmental impact assessments

and compiles reports

• Investigates diverse noise complaints
• Enforces the noise control regulations and liaises with Public

Prosecutors and legal counsel on prosecutions and contentious issues

• Undertakes routine inspections and monitoring
• Performs administrative duties
• Undergoes skills training
• Initiates and coordinates community involvement within
