Job Title: Site Shift Supervisor

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Shift Supervisor to take accountability for daily operational tasks and support the Operations Manager in overseeing planned works. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth facility operations by providing guidance and leadership to the shift team, maintaining quality control, and managing contractor activities.

The Shift Supervisor will ensure all contractors sign in correctly, complete their tasks to the expected standard, and leave site with all necessary documentation properly recorded. Additionally, this role will lead and support the shift team, ensuring they are aligned with operational objectives and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Understand the maintenance or extra works to be carried out and identify the potential impact to health and safety and critical plant operation.
• Identify and utilise mitigating measures to address the potential impact, through the implementation of safe systems of work and operational procedures.
• Supervise the engineering team on critical maintenance and operations.
• Assist with the asset condition reviews for engineering plant.
• Comply with the customers change approval system.
• Actively supervise engineering risks through applying CERM methodologies.
• Be proficient in the use and application of CERM Quantum.
• Establish and develop trusting, meaningful relationships with the CBRE site engineering team, CBRE Management team, DCS and other client staff.
• Lead cultural change on a daily basis, through being an effective role model for safe working practices, compliance, quality standards and best practice methods.
• Volunteer ideas/initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement and improved service levels.
• Positive contribution to the “team” effort, with a “can do” attitude and raising of standards.
• Ensure the shift operating team and updated daily on works to be completed and deliver and update at the end of each shift and handover.
• Ensure you are well informed of the duties from the previous shifts and are able to provide accountability of the site operations.
• Work alongside the Operations Manager to ensure the shift teams are aligned with planned works, and that feedback to the Operations Manager on activities that may impact planned works.
• Undertake other tasks, as required by the Operations & Contract Manager, in accordance with experience and competencies.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proven experience in data centre facilities management
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, make data-driven decisions and report on Trends.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience in preparing and delivering reports on site operations.
• Customer-focused with the ability to maintain positive client relationships.
• Results-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
