Job Summary: We are looking for a creative and dynamic Social Media Intern to join our team at Edelman South Africa. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring social media professional to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and online community management. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our online presence and engaging with audiences across various platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• • Assist in developing, scheduling, and publishing social media content across platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and engagement opportunities relevant to Edelman and our clients.
  • Support in creating graphics, videos, and other multimedia content using design tools.
  • Engage with online communities by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Conduct social media research and competitive analysis to identify best practices.
  • Assist in reporting on social media analytics and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the content and creative teams to brainstorm innovative social campaigns.

Requirements:

• • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a qualification in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Passion for social media, digital marketing, and brand storytelling.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and content trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside the box.
  • Knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
