Lenovo is looking for a passionate, articulate, and enthusiastic Technical Sales Architect for LENOVOs enterprise business in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on South Africa. As a Lenovo Technical Sales Consultant, you will embrace the full Lenovo Data Center product portfolio and get engaged in promoting Lenovo Data Center product and solutions. You will work with CTOs, IT specialists, Lenovo sales team and with Lenovo partners to help drive Lenovos opportunities through the sales cycle from understanding customer business and technical requirements, building the customers solution architecture, and driving the opportunity up to a profitable closing. As a strong team player, youll step in for business opportunities originally identified by the channel Sales team where technical expertise is needed to define the perfect solution for our Customers. With your knowledge and experience you actively support the sales team growing business across the whole Data Centre product portfolio and establish Lenovo as a true solution provider with our channel partners.
If you are the right candidate, you have: Worked closely with sales professionals and have delivered successful large enterprise architectures. Youre passionate about what you do. You have impeccable relational skills and can create win/win environments for all parties that you work with. You are extremely comfortable in a quasi-sales role and have experience working directly with customers. Youre driven - no one needs to push you to excel; its just who you are. Youre eager to learn, adapt and perfect your skills; you seek out help and put it to good use.
Deep Understanding of Data Center Solutions: Proven expertise in Data Center solutions, including server, storage, and networking technologies, with a focus on enterprise-level deployments.
Experience with Virtualization and Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, Redhat, Docker or KVM, as well as familiarity with public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in Enterprise Architecture Design: Ability to design complex architectures that meet scalability, redundancy, and security requirements for enterprise customers.
Familiarity with Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of AI, ML, and data analytics solutions, and experience incorporating these technologies into Data Center architectures.
Strong Background in Solution Selling: Experience in solution-based selling, translating technical requirements into business solutions and working collaboratively with Sales teams to close deals.
Extensive Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a similar technical sales or pre-sales architect role within the enterprise IT sector, with a track record of successful solution design and customer engagement. You are fine with travelling around 25% of the time Fluency in English, additional language is a plus
