  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Registered as a candidate with ECSA.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Drivers license: Code B/EB.
Special conditions may include:
  • Required to work in all weather conditions.
  • Required to work outside normal working hours during
emergencies and planned overtime.
  • Required to be on standby
  • May be required to carry out High Voltage switching
throughout the electrical network. Key Performance Areas
  • Ensures all newly installed high voltage assets are captured
and maintained in SAP for accurate master data records.
  • Coordinates with internal departments (Engineering, System
Control, TSS, etc.) for maintenance planning, performance feedback, and optimisation of asset life.
  • Engages with Eskom, OEMs, consultants, and other utilities to
ensure proper maintenance, testing, and deployment of high voltage equipment.
  • Continuously reviews and adjusts maintenance schedules and
methods based on equipment performance and failure rates.
  • Provides engineering and systems support, including
maintenance planning, technical documentation, investigations, and field testing.
  • Conducts site inspections and job observations to ensure
optimal equipment operation and continuity of supply.
  • Prepares productivity, budget, and service delivery reports
while managing operational documentation and resource requisitions.
  • Manages team performance, identifies skill gaps,
conducts training, and ensures safety standards and proper use of technology.
  • Assists with project execution across branches,
from scheduling and safety compliance to on-site inspections
