Trainee Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstrable experience in manager, assistant manager or supervisor capacity at a retail store, or similar.
• Interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers.
• Competency in retail management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in Beauty industry/wellness a plus.
• References required from previous employers.

Job description:

Trainee store manager: report to store manager and area manager.

The role of Management:

• Communication skills - Due to the social nature of their work, management must display excellent written and verbal communication skills. This can help them effectively communicate with staff members, customers and superiors.
• Customer service skills - In order to meet customers needs, advanced customer service skills are needed. At LUSH we take pride in our customer service and experience.
• Management skills - You will be required to oversee a number of staff members and work alongside the store manager. You must be able to efficiently and effectively manage people in a retail environment and you need to be able to take initiative.
• Organization - they need to be organized at all times.
• Reliable, honest, motivated and a team player.
• Be able to carry out duties specified by the head office team.
• Strong emotional intelligence.

Store Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and dedicating salespeople and ensure their relevant duties are done.
• Monitoring shelve stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store.
• Addressing customers requests, comments, and complaints.
• Motivating employees to achieve targets.
• Assisting training new staff members.
• Making and achieving own targets and goals.

- Employment Type: Full-time 40-45 hours per week. Monday to Sunday.

- Salary: Between R144 000 and R168 000 per year excluding bonus structure.

- Working hours: 8:00am to 21:30 - 9,5 hour shifts. You will be required to work weekends and public holidays.
