What Were Looking For
- A valid South African ID or work permit
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years experience in a professional kitchen (hotel or upmarket restaurant preferred)
- Hands on experience in pizza dough preparation, topping, baking, and oven management
- A culinary qualification or certificate (advantageous)
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency under pressure
- A strong team ethic and willingness to learn and grow
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Prepare and cook high quality pizzas and related dishes with precision and passion
- Manage your section efficiently, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
- Assist with dough preparation, ingredient rotation, and mise en place
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene in your workstation
- Monitor oven temperatures and ensure perfect bakes every time
- Support senior chefs with daily operations and contribute to menu creativity
- Uphold the hotels standards of excellence and contribute to a positive team culture
